vious to being offered for sale, and that defendant afterwards exchanged with plaintiff, giving the pony for the mare and only £1 was owing, and this had been paid into court. Judgement was given for the defendant.

LINCOLNSHIRE CHRONICLE June 17th 1881
BRIGG PETTY SESSIONS :- J. King of Grasby and Charles Dixon late of Caistor, Innkeeper, was summoned by Mr W Stephenson, of Searby cum Owmby, farmer, for using a dog to kill game at Grasby on the 11th inst. George Tyson and another witness proved seeing the defendants with two dogs at half past six o'clock on the above morning. A hare got up in a field, Dixon took a dog up and when it saw the hare let it go. It caught the hare and Dixon went into the field to fetch it. King stood on the road all the time. Dixon in defence said both dogs belonged to him, and went to fetch the hare. King had nothing to do with it. Dixon was fined 20/- and costs 20s 6d. The case against King was dismissed.
William Brumpton of Grasby, jobber, was summoned for being drunk at Grasby on the 12th and 13th ult. Police Constable Whitelam proved both cases. Fined 5/- and costs 9/6 in each case.

LINCOLNSHIRE CHRONICLE August 26th 1881
Brigg Petty Sessions:-
Mary Cave, Mary Ann Wilmore, Ellen Wilmore and Sophia Wilmore, all of Caistor, were summoned for obstructing the footpath, by standing thereon, on Sunday evening, the 7th inst. Finded 1/- and costs 5s 6d. Police Constable Olive proved the case.

LINCOLNSHIRE CHRONICLE November 4th 1881
Brigg Petty Sessions :-
Frank Harris, of Grasby, Labourer, for being drunk at Caistor on the 15th ult was fined 5/- and costs 10s 6d. Police Constable Ferriby proved the case.

:- John King and Henry Crisp, of Clixby, youths, were summoned for obstructing the footpath by standing on it., at Grasby, on Sunday evening, the 11th inst. Fined 2s 6d and costs 5s 6s each. Police constable Daniel proved the case.
