Inventory of John Potts of Gresby dated 1716

The True and Just accounpt of John Potts of Gresby, the natural and lawfull son of Christopher Potts of the same in the county and Archdeaconry of Lincoln.  And Administration of all and singular ye Goods, Chatteles and Credits of the said Christopher Potts for ye use and business of his mother Sarah Potts also of all such payments, charges and expenses as well upon the Goods, Credits and Chatteles of ye said deceased as upon ye said action or otherwise as followeth.
Imprim.  The said Accomptant chargeth Himself with the sum of One Hundred and twenty eight Pounds eleven shillings and sixpence being ye total sum and value of all and singular the Goods, Chattelles and Credits of ye siad deceased.  Comprized and specified in the inventory thereof made and exhibited unto the Registrt of ye Archdeaconry of Lincoln and there remaining.

In discharge whereof the said Accomptant craveth allowance of ye several sums hereafter mentioned viz.

Which said sum soe remaining in ye said Accomptants hands the Worshipfull John Cawley, Batchelor of Laws and Officiall to ye Archdeacon of Lincoln lawfully constituted to the Tenor and Effect of a Law and Act of Parliament entitled an Act for ye better Settling of Intestate Estates.  To witt the sum of thirteen pounds fourteen shillings and ten pence paid to Sarah Potts the relict of ye said deceased being ye third of the said remainder.  Also to John Potts six pounds seventeen shillings and five pence; to Elizabeth Potts six pounds seventeen shillings and five pence; to Anne  Potts six pounds seventeen shillings and five pence, being the naturall and lawfull son and daughters of ye said deceased; to Robert Potts and Sarah Potts, no portion is assigned the said Robert and Sarah Potts, son and daughter of ye said deceased having received more than their dividend all ready.
